A planet can be a community, a research environment, an institutional space, or an artificial society. It can contain many cells, overlap with other worlds, and run on entirely different technology. The common ground starts at its boundary.

Independent indexes can offer different perspectives and overlapping selections. There is no required central directory, and people can enter a planet directly.

Initially, “travel” means following an entry link to another world. Richer compatibility profiles may follow where operators choose to support them.

The initiative is intended for developers, organizations, enterprises, and universities exploring independent digital places. Residents primarily interact with planets and cells, rather than this project site.

The first protocol draft proposes a minimal public descriptor and entry links, with optional extensions. It is a discussion starting point, not a mature standard or a claim of working interoperability.
